Exhibitors
From cinemas and film festivals to libraries and out in the open air, there is an exciting range of opportunities for screening films in London. There are close to 100 cinemas in the city and a growing number of alternative venues equipped for showing films.
Festivals provide a great opportunity for all Londoners to enjoy a huge range of cinema and a showcase for London's breadth of film and media talent. There are more than 60 film festivals in the capital, representing every facet of the city's unique cultural mix.
Film London works to support festival organisers and other organisations that screen films publicly through a rolling programme of training, business development and networking events.
Film London's Audience Development team host two regular opportunities to consult with industry experts, develop best practice and key skills, and forge partnerships within London's diverse film exhibition sector:
Film London's Exhibitors' Surgeries are bi-monthly meetings, in which a range of consultants and Film London staff are available to provide advice and mentoring on exhibition projects, as well as guidance on Film London's own funding schemes.
The bi-monthly Exhibitors' Forum is open to anyone involved in screening films to share ideas, learn and make new contacts.
So far, the information and networking sessions have benefitted countless exhibitors in London, including Curzon Cinemas, Cine Lumiere, Film Education, Flipside Film Festival, Barbican and Fashion in Film Festival.
