The capital is expected to receive an exceptional number of visitors over the summer of 2012 and the streets will reflect the celebratory mood.
Whilst large areas in the capital and the filming studios will carry on largely unaffected, central London is expected to be a hive of sporting and cultural events, which will make it difficult for other activities such as filming to take place during the core Olympic and Paralympic weeks.
You will find advice on how to make your shoot successful in London during the summer of 2012 in these pages, including information on the main areas affected by the Games and locations alternatives, hospitality and transport, restrictions to use the Olympic branding, applying to film in London in the build up and during the Games and key contacts.
Please note that media outlets covering the Games need to visit the London Media Centre website for relevant advice.
