Film London is developing an online filming application system that will enable non-factual productions (feature and short films, TV and commercials) to better plan shoots in the city in the lead up to and during the summer of 2012.
The new Film London Portal will assist productions to identify and obtain the necessary permissions to film on location across the city in an easy and intuitive way. The new tool will allow productions to apply to shoot in London without requiring prior knowledge of the city, such as borough boundaries or postcodes.
The Portal will be free to access and available from the Film London website in due course.
“Local officials and businesses were straightforward and receptive throughout. The biggest challenge came in choosing from among the many qualified crew available to us.”
Robert Lorenz, producer, Hereafter
