South Bank Movie Trail

The River Thames is the longest river entirely in England, rising officially at Thames Head in Gloucestershire and flowing into the North Sea at the Thames Estuary, with its focal point in central London.
Some of the most exciting film-makers from around the world choose to shoot in the capital and many of them are drawn to the watery wonders of the Thames.
Classic films such as A Kid for Two Farthings and Frenzy (pictured) have used river locations, as well as recent blockbusters such as The Dark Knight and Atonement.
The trail starts at Albert Embankment - accessible from Elephant & Castle, Lambeth North and Waterloo stations. You are then led past some of the most stunning riverfront areas - right across to your end point, St Katharine Docks.
