Poplar Film is part of the 2015 LOCO Local festival. On Sunday 25 January, they'll be showing six short films from LOCO's selected shortlist, followed by East is East. They are also commissioning a selection of comedy shorts to join their programme.

Doors open 2.30pm and programme starts at 3.30pm

3.30pm – 5.30pm
Poplar Film commissioned comedy shorts plus LOCO Comedy shorts and discussion. Short films include: Two Dosas, Night Shift, Orange Charlie, Russian Roulette, Anthony, Pineapple Calamari, Comedian, Someone To Come Home To, The Job Interview, Room Mates, Elevator Pitch

5.30pm – 6pm

In 1971 Salford fish-and-chip shop owner George Khan expects his family to follow his strict Pakistani Muslim ways. But his children, with an English mother and having been born and brought up in Britain, increasingly see themselves as British and start to reject their father’s rules on dress, food, religion, and living in general.
