An Animated Life: Ray Harryhausen
Date: 04 September
This autumn The Cinema Museum, famed for having one of the largest and richest collection of cinema memorabilia in the world, will be organizing a series of eye opening and rewarding events for cinephiles everywhere. Part of a fundraising campaign for the charitable organisation, you can book tickets now - from film screenings to live discussions with industry professionals and well-respected film historians.
An Animated Life: Ray Harryhausen
Ray Harryhausen, one of the greatest stop-motion animators (1949's Mighty Joe Young, 1974's The Golden Voyage of Sinbad, 1981's Clash of the Titans and of course, 1963's epic Jason and the Argonauts), will be blessing The Cinema Museum with his presence and giving a talk about his career with his biographer, Tony Dalton. This is a rare opportunity to see the premier special-effects master in film history, responsible for bringing magic to millions and inspiring a generation of directions from Steven Spielberg to James Cameron, up close and personal.
