2nd London United Film Festival
Date: 03 December - 04
London United will showcase a line-up of excellent documentaries, features and short film over two days. On the opening night The Shark is Still Working: The Impact and legacy of JAWS will be screened, an intuitive study of the Spielberg classic. Also, UK-based film-makers bring us the nostalgic documentary about a lost pop icon in the 50s and 60s called Special When Lit, a film about the rise and fall of pinball. Forget Me Not, another UK production, will also grace the screens as a modern-day love story set in London.
The last day of the festival includes the London premiere of I Do, I Don't, a film exploring different ideals of marriage; The Elephant in the Living Room, a look inside families that raise deadly animals as pets; The Drummond Will, a black comedy that follows brothers on a quest to solve a mystery about their father's sudden wealth; and Rock'n'Roll Dreams of Duncan Christopher, which follows the awkward son of a rock star through his father's suicide. Finally, the closing screening of Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho will help celebrate its 50th anniversary.
Where: Prince Charles Cinema, 7 Leicester Place, WC2H 7BY
