Do you work in the TV, commercial and film industries and want to know more about filming safely and legally on location? Film London run locations workshops aimed at those who are not yet experienced enough to make locations a career, but are interested in finding out more. Led by two experienced location managers, the topics covered will include:
- The Brief
Script breakdown, budgeting, unit size, art dept, special effects and sound requirements
- Research
Scheduling, using libraries and books, and working with estate agents and film offices
- Recce-ing
Camera, tide times, traffic patterns and light studies.
- Pre-production
Contracts, responsibilities, security, Health and Safety and risk assessment
- Shoot
Traffic control, police, dealing with the public and paparazzi, and protecting the location
