The events take place on Wednesday 6 October and are aimed at forging a transatlantic alliance between London and New York, two of the most important centres for film production in the world.

Mike Leigh: Shooting London

Legendary director Mike Leigh takes to the stage at the NYFF to discuss his career, spanning five decades, and share his vast experience of making films in London, including his latest, Another Year, which will preview at the Festival. Leigh is one of the world's most significant and distinctive film-makers, whose work often defines what is best about British Cinema. His films are almost exclusively shot in the capital, a city he loves, lives and works in. The on-stage talk will be moderated by Film London's CEO Adrian Wootton.

A discussion about filming in the capital up to and during the 2012 Games.
2-3pm - Film London Production Finance Market (PFM)
A presentation of Film London's successful PFM and opportunities for producers.
3.15-4.30pm - Film Finance
A look into film financing and the future of traditional theatrical distribution.
