Film London is delighted to announce Deborah Sathe as Head of Talent Development and Production. Heading up Film London's talent development strategy, Sathe will be responsible for the agency's shorts and feature production schemes and training initatives.

Secures Distribution Deal

The latest feature from Film London Microwave has been picked up by Curzon Film World's Artificial Eye to distribute in the UK and Protagonist Pictures will manage international sales, Film London announced the news at the Cannes Film Festival.

London and Ile-de-France

Renew Partnership

Ile-de-France Film Commission and Film London renewed the partnership agreement between the two capitals at this year's Cannes Film Festival. French producers will attend the 2013 Film London Production Finance Market taking place 16- 17 October.

Grow Existing Partnership

Film London and Filme Rio - Rio Film Commission met at the Cannes Film Festival to reconfirm the existing city-to-city agreement between the two cities. Brazilian producers will attend the 2013 Film London Production Finance Market.

Dalston Square

Outdoor Cinema

Funded though Film London’s Community Pilot Fund, the Lost Picture Show brings free and fun film-making workshops and public screenings of films hand-picked by local young people to Dalston Square.

Festivals & Screenings

The UK Jewish Film Festival will screen Kosher Dilemma followed by a discussion with the director Jigal Krant at Tricycle Cinema, 23 May.

The 14th Rainbow Film Festival will bring Bangladeshi Films to venues across East London from 26 May.

UK Green Film Festival, the UK's only celebration of environmental films, takes place at venues across the country, 1-8 June.

Full programme is now online for this year's Open City Doc Fest, 20-23 June.

Funding, Training & Industry Events

The Roundhouse Online Film Fund is now open for film-makers aged 16-25 to support the production of short films in any genre. Deadline: 13 June.

Apply now to be one of three film, television or games students to receive a Prince William Scholarship worth up to £10,000 plus industry perks. Deadline: 17 June.

Places are currently booking for Motion Capture Lab, an intensive 3-day training programme aimed at film professionals and practitioners, presented by Lighthouse, 3-5 July.

Peacefulfish is inviting innovative ideas for the European cultural industry making use of information and communication technologies (ICT) as part of @Diversity. Deadline: 19 August.
